BAY SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Members and employees of the Bay Shore Fire Department were looking for a way to replace their TV soundbar and bluetooth speaker in their Lounge, or as they call it, the “Rec Room”. With money raised from fundraisers, they turned to WiredUP to integrate a system that did both of these things… and more, with a simple way to control everything as the cherry on top.

At the heart of the system lies a DBX ZonePro 641M. Using the ZC-3 rotary encoder to select the source and ZC-6 to adjust the volume, members and employees were able to quickly adapt to the new, simple to use system. Using 8 Yamaha NS-IC800 8” In-ceiling speakers, perfect, even and consistent coverage throughout the room was achieved. The speakers, powered by Lab Gruppen E4.2’s, provide excellent sound quality, even at higher SPL’s.

A pair of Shure BLX/PG58 microphones were also installed, and can be used no matter what source is selected on the ZC-3 rotary encoder, and are set to a nominal volume level, making them truly tamper-proof. User-selectable sources include the center bar TV, Bluetooth wall plate (provided by Parts Express), the movie theatre TV, and an off (or mute) position.
