WiredUP Completes First JBL VTX Series Installation at Locust Valley Central School District

WiredUP has completed its first JBL VTX Series installation, and it landed somewhere that really matters, the auditorium at Locust Valley High/Middle School.

The project had been a long time coming. The existing Martin Audio MSX and MLA system had deteriorated to the point where multiple array elements and subwoofers were non-functional, leaving the space with gaps in coverage that no school auditorium should have to live with. WiredUP began designing a replacement system well before the project went out to bid, a process that ultimately spanned the better part of a year from initial design to final commissioning.

The room presented real challenges. A wide topography and a steep upper-level seating area behind Front-of-House demanded a system that could cover the entire space evenly without compromise. WiredUP's answer was the JBL VTX A6, a compact high-output line array purpose-built for demanding environments like this one. Before a single piece of equipment was ordered, WiredUP submitted full VenueSynthesis acoustic prediction files directly to JBL, a step that validated the design and ensured every seat in the house would be covered the way it should be.

The final system consisted of 8 VTX A6 elements, 2 VTX B15 subwoofers, and a Crown IT4x3500HD amplifier, all installed and commissioned under WiredUP's Harman Certified integration credentials, with direct support from JBL throughout the process.

The response from the school was immediate. AnnMarie Buonaspina, Coordinator of Instructional Technology and Fine and Applied Arts for Locust Valley Central School District, put it simply: "Ah man those speakers sound SO good."

This project is rooted on Long Island, but it's representative of what WiredUP brings to any room, anywhere. The same design process, the same credentials, and the same standard of work are available to schools, performing arts venues, corporate spaces, and hospitality clients across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, the Carolinas, the Mountain West, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond.
