WiredUP Takes Delivery of JBL SRX900
On the afternoon of July 3rd, 2024, WiredUP accepted delivery of JBL’s flagship powered Line-Array Loudspeakers, the SRX900 series. The SRX’s are part of WiredUP’s larger plan to move to a full JBL VTX A and SRX900 inventory of PA.
Our first purchase was a “toe dip in the water” of the lineup, starting with a small 8 boxes of SRX906. So far, we are very happy with the system. It appears to provide a strong low-mid presence, even for it’s small dual 6.5” LF drivers. While we haven’t played around with the integration of the boxes into JBL Performance via HControl yet, we anticipate that being an extremely useful tool for changing the settings of boxes when they are setup in potential remote locations.
Systems can be designed with JBL’s LAC3 software on Windows or iPadOS. Performance is available for Windows, Mac and iPadOS. Once designed, systems can be imported from VenueSynthesis and LAC3 into Performance.
The suite of software designed by JBL is just another reason that WiredUP plans to switch back to a full JBL inventory.
As we use the SRX900 series more, and familiarize ourselves with the systems and associated software, we will provide updates in our newsroom.
